Bio:
Facundo Diz comes to the Rapids and transitions to MLS having played the majority of his professional career in Argentina, most recently with Club Athletico Platense. A big target forward, who attacks the ball extremely well inside the penalty area, Diz adds a wealth of experience playing with Club Atlético All Boys, Banfield, Deportivo Tachira, Club Atlético San Telmo, Club Atlético Tigre and Olimpo de Bahia Blanca.

MLS CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
2009: Made his first ever appearance for the Rapids as he came in as a sub in the Rapids' July 25 match, a 4-0 victory over New York.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS Diz began his career with Club Atlético All Boys in 1997, playing with the club for eight seasons…He spent brief loan spells in 2004 with Banfield as well as Venezuelan side Deportivo Tachira before returning to Argentina and All Boys for their 2005 campaign…Following a loan stint with Club Atlético San Telmo, Diz played the 2006-08 seasons with Club Atlético Tigre...Following a six month run with Olimpo de Bahia Blanca at the end of 2008, Diz caught on with Club Athletico Platense in 2009, where he scored nine goals in 15 games, helping the team avoid relegation.

PERSONALHis last name is pronounced "Dees"…Favorite soccer memory is helping lead Club Atlético Tigre from second division to second place in the Argentine first division…Enjoys traveling with his family and playing basketball…Has two older brothers and a younger sister…Father competed in the Paralympics in the Pentathlon and has won 11 Gold Medals and has competed across the world including in Japan, Israel, and England…Facundo is only three classes away from finishing his law degree

Rapids Reserves Down Regis 4-0
